Dr. Karrie Lee
As a board-certified pediatric dentist and with nearly a decade of experience in the dental field so far, Dr. Karrie is the perfect provider to care for your son's or daughter’s special smile. She always tries to connect with each new patient, helping them ease their nerves and become more of a relaxed, fun-loving kid who just happens to be at the dentist’s office! Whenever she makes them laugh with a silly “knock-knock” joke or by belting “Let it Go” in her off-tune voice, she is reminded of how much she truly LOVES her job. Above all else, her goal is to help both children and parents feel genuinely cared for at WindHaven Pediatric Dentistry.
As a mother with three young kids, Dr. Karrie is even more grateful to be a pediatric dentist who connects with parents and families on a daily basis, as she knows exactly what they’re going through. She has developed a keen sense of compassion and understanding, and all of her treatment recommendations are personalized to fit each child’s unique home-life situation.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Karrie attended the University of Florida (Go Gators!) for her undergraduate degree and then pursued her dental doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn). During these four years, she realized her natural ability to connect with kids and her passion to teach them positive health habits led her to pursue specialty training in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Karrie then moved west to California to attend the University of Southern California (USC) for this additional two-year residency. She graduated from residency in 2010, and for the last ten years, has been working and gaining experience in multiple dental offices in multiple states!
Now, this board-certified pediatric dentist, who owns her own dental office, is excited to provide a dental home for little ones in the surrounding communities of Aubrey, Little Elm, Prosper, Celina, and Frisco!
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Karrie is originally a Florida girl, and her husband, Andy, was born and raised as a California boy! Having grown up on opposite sides of the country, they’ve now settled at the halfway point and are proud to call Texas their home! They keep busy with their three young sons attending Taekwondo lessons, soccer games, church events, and many, many trips to the grocery store! Thankfully, the boys’ grandmother currently lives with them and helps out with some childcare.
When not at work, Dr. Karrie loves to spend quality time with her family. She also enjoys jogging, yoga, and trying new recipes in her Instant Pot!
"Windahven Pediatric Dentistry came highly recommended in a mom’s group I’m in. They did not disappoint! I was blown away with Dr. Karrie and Courtney. They were so amazingly patient with my daughter. They exceeded all expectations and we will not be going anywhere else."
"Dr. Karrie Lee is the BEST pediatric dentist. She is the most kind, compassionate and personable dentist, and excellent at her job! I was so nervous to take my toddler to the dentist for the first time but after meeting Dr. Karrie, my son and I instantly felt at ease! She is so gentle and sweet! Recently my son had a dental emergency at 4:30pm on a weekday. I called WindHaven and Danny answered. He was extremely kind, calm and compassionate as I was freaking out. Dr. Karrie stayed late so she could see my son. She is one of a kind! My 3 year old literally said “Dr. Karrie is SO nice”. The staff is also absolutely wonderful! The office is brand new, and perfectly set up for children of all ages! I highly recommend WindHaven Pediatric Dentistry!"
"Dr. Karrie is incredible with children. Her patience and understanding has blown me away. Dr. Karrie and her staff are passionate about their work and make you feel at home and welcomed from the minute you open the door. I will recommend this with a full heart knowing I won't regret it. Thank you for welcoming our family."
"Our newborn daughter had a lip and tongue tie that were causing immediate latching/nursing issues. Dr. Lee took her time evaluating her and listening to our concerns before educating us on the frenectomy procedure. We were so impressed by her kindness, fun and gentle demeanor, and interaction with our newborn that we transferred our oldest to their office immediately for dental checkups. We are continually impressed by the warmth and kindness as well as intention behind everyone on staff. Our kiddos love going!"
"Literally, the best pediatric dentist we’ve EVER been to. From the moment we entered for a consultation, to the most recent visit, the follow up, everything. Just an absolutely wonderful experience with the most kind and patient staff. Would give 10 stars if I could!"
